Expertise

Epistemic truth: I majored in literature in college but took an elective invertebrate paleontology class. I liked it better than many of my lit classes. My professor was Dr. Steve Goode, who is a published authority on freshwater snails.

I ended up studying more English and specializing in something comforting but lifeless. I think sometimes of petrified bones. I would use that brush. I would dig them out and be a hero. Protagonist in dirts.
